Are You the Kind of Person We’re Looking For?

At Thrillworks, we strive to hire great people, always. Great web designers. Great developers. Great project managers. We love great! So if you think we’ll think you’re great, well, we think that’s great. So great that we think you should get in touch with us as soon as you think you can. Think you got that? Great!

If you love the Web as much as we do, and if you take pride in doing superb work for great clients, what are you waiting for? Get in touch with us ASAP. Actually, no—scratch that. Instead, get in touch with us as soon as you read what’s written below, because that’s where we go on a bit about what we look for in a colleague. Very important, that. Very, very important.

1Track Record

If you don’t have a track record (hey, we were all 19 once) that’s okay, we still want to hear from you. While unlikely, you could be a super rookie. That said, we do like a bit of experience, so please share yours with us. When it comes to your career highlights, don’t be shy! And we don’t just mean work, by the way. We mean the whole life thing, too. If you’ve climbed a mountain, tell us which one. If you’ve been to a bunch of countries, name them. Gold stars in elementary school? How many? We wanna know!

2A Hunger to Learn

Sure, your stomach growls, but does your brain growl? The people who work here constantly bring new stuff to our attention. This app or that, new ways of doing things, one Next Big Thing after another, it never stops. It can be a new way to approach a piece of software, it can be a new feature on your phone, or it can be a new brand of breakfast cereal that recently came to your attention. Everything and anything. We love minds that churn, brains that whir, and an inquisitiveness that never stops. Sound like you? Tell us more!

3Share and Share Alike

We are very big on people who come up with new ideas and—very important—love to share those ideas. Throwing an idea on the table at a meeting should really give you a buzz. Working here, you’ll definitely be hearing ideas from all corners, so please, join in. Think you can help make Thrillworks a better company? Of course we want to hear about it! We also subscribe to the No Such Thing As A Dumb Question philosophy. So if you’re at a meeting and someone shares a brilliant idea but you have absolutely no clue what they’re talking about—ask! Don’t worry, we won’t laugh. And if we do, it will be a brief and very polite laughter that will leave no emotional scarring.

4Self-Motivators Only

If you tend to wait around for others to ask you to help or do something, we probably aren’t a good match. A company full of people like that doesn’t go far. We need you to take on new challenges and try new things—without being asked or told. We look at it this way: When we hire you, we’re giving your mind and brain a platform. So, use it. You know what you do best and what you’re all about better than we do, right? So just go. Do your thing. Remind us, every day, why we hired you.

5Busy and Loving it

You know that old saying, “If you want something done right, give it to a busy person?” That rings true around here. It is one busy place, yet, at the same time, the pace seems relaxed, too. How? No idea. Must have something to do with the fact that when people love what they do, it feels like there’s never enough work to go around. So we’ll presume you’d rather be busy than bored. Because if there is something Thrillworks is not, it’s boring.

6Go Team Go!

The reality is that we spend most of our life at work, so we figure if we’re going to work this hard and spend so much time doing our jobs, we had better love what we do and who we do it with. Fortunately, at Thrillworks, that’s the office vibe. We love what we do and we love doing it with this great crew we have on hand. In short, we count on each other and we bring out the best in each other. With all that reciprocal respect and commitment, most days it just doesn’t seem like work at all. That, as they say, is pretty cool.

7And It's All About the Client, Too, of Course

We don’t need to say much here. Three cheers for the folks who hire us! We’re here for them.

End of story.
