10. You have experience creating high-quality design work for web and multimedia applications. We don’t have a minimum number of years of experience in mind. After all, we will be expecting you to produce tons of awesome designs within the span of a year of working for us!
9. You use words like ‘whitespace’ and ‘kerning’ in casual conversation regardless of the weird looks people sometimes give you. (It’s okay, we understand.)
8. You love the internet. You surf the internet. Your family thinks you spend way too much time in front of that infernal computer, and don’t you even THINK about bringing your laptop on vacation! Sorry, I digress...
7. You can espouse the principles of human-computer interaction, but haven’t forgotten the fundamental importance of human-human interaction.
6. You are well-versed in the keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, and know what the acronyms HTML and CSS stand for. (We won’t expect you to know what .jpg and .gif actually stand for... like THAT is important!)
5. You have at times been considered somewhat anal about your insistence on ‘naming’ layers.
4. You are confident in your ability to communicate through design – even when what you are communicating may not be something that usually interests you. Been there... done that! Right?
3. You thrive on a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere that requires you to juggle multiple tasks at once. We don’t require *actual* juggling skills, although extra consideration may be given to those who can display an aptitude for some sort of ‘stupid-human-trick’.
2.You’ve been described using terms like “proactive”, “self-starter”, “motivated” and “team player” in the past.
(Hint: good words to add to that resume you will send us.)
And the number one reason why we NEED to talk to you is...
1.You are honestly and truly COOL with working in Burlington!
